Miniature Donkey Foals - the Ultimate "Warm Fuzzies"
Miniature donkeys are among the most adorable creatures, and miniature donkey foals are the cutest, most adorable of all. While there is not a "miniature donkey for sale" sign on every mini donkey foal, we thought you would enjoy seeing them all.

These miniature donkey foals are the result of thoughtful breeding of our quality, registered miniature donkey jacks and jennets. In order to produce miniature donkeys of the highest quality, each mating is carefully planned to strengthen the characteristics of the parents. If you have specific interest in a particular miniature donkey foal on the way or one on this page, please let us know. We waited with great excitement for this foal, from one of our RJ daughters, Light My Fire, and sired by Santana. What a gorgeous delight, this super dark red jennet is! Everything is working with her, her build, temperament, color. Couldn't be happier with our last foal of 2008.

Another Jewel from Nina! Nina is one of our older jennets, a Fireman daughter, and back to the imported donkeys Luigi, Dominic, Benita, and Mary in four generations. She has had a lot of very lovely foals, and since we have had her, she has had all jennets for us. We know this Crown Jewel will grow up to have straight legs, wide chest, stocky build, like her mother, and top it all off with a temperament that is gentle and sweet, because that will come from both her parents. Nina will be retired from breeding now, and Jewel is a beautiful foal for us to celebrate!

Rudy is best buddies with Black Powder, the two of them are often seen galloping around the field. He halters, and is friendly, and has all the makings of a great mini donkey ambassador. Stella has a big star, and I think she knows how cute it makes her! We can't miss this jennet in the herd. She is outstanding in every way, from the wide chest and straight back and legs, balanced build, good movement, great personality, rich color, even a bold cross. The pedigree is exceptional as well, with Santana as her sire, and Foxy Lady, a Fiftyfire daughter, for her dam. Look at the maternal grandmother, Clementine, who is one of our very best jennets.

Watching a donkey move tells you a lot about their conformation, the smoother the action, the better the conformation. Strider has a beautiful, fluid movement, and in fact, it was awhile before we managed to get a picture of him when he was not moving. He has his sire's alert carriage and pretty head, and is shaping up very very nicely. His mother, Clementine, stays in our breeding herd, along with two sisters Foxy Lady, and Rustina. We love what Clementine brings to the breeding. His two full brothers, King Crimson and Cadbury, have been exported.

This little jennet foal made me think of some sultry beauty from a romantic tale, so that led to her name. We call her Mandy, and she is sweet as the day is long. True glossy black, with white points, and that 'look at me' style. Her sire, Black Knight, continues to impress us with the high quality of his foals. We particularly like their mellow temperaments. Her dam is a woolly jennet with a sweet temperament, stocky build, heavy bone, and lovely long hair. Lots to like with this dreamy little jennet..

This is a little doll of a jennet. We didn't realize Whisper was quite so close to foaling, and came in the barn in the morning to find this jennet half dried off, and no mother around. Whisper had abandoned her in the stall and gone out to join her buddy outside. We put them together in a stall, and this foal went straight to her mother to try to nurse. Whisper wanted nothing to do with the foal, but this little jennet would not take no for an answer. She was persistent, and kept trying to nurse, and would follow her mother around the stall like the best behaved foal you ever saw. Whisper, with all her long flowing hair, is addicted to the grooming brush. She would stand like a rock while I brushed her and would let the foal nurse. Several hours later, Whisper finally accepted her foal without being groomed, and now is doing a fine job mothering her. Meanwhile, little Persistent Whisper, "Sista," is always close to her mother! Her mother is heavy boned, wide and stocky, and we can see that her foal has a wide chest, straight legs, perfect teeth, rich dark chocolate color. Too early to tell if she will also have the long hair, but we couldn't be happier with this jennet's build, and personality!

A lovely dark brown jennet, Mojave is siring very straight foals with straight legs, wide chests, well balanced, and with very pretty heads. It's such fun watching these two.

She is straight out of fantasy, this special all black jennet. We gave her the name from the Arabian Nights, expecting this little jennet to cast a spell on you. In a sumptuous black coat, with a wide chest with plenty of air, Scherezade is a delight to see, and stunning in motion. Full sister to The Elms Perfect Black, top seller in the 2004 Great American Miniature Donkey Sale.

Here's an elegant little jennet, and she is already a regular flirt, so we named her Kokette. She has a rich dark brown color, deepening every day. Right now with her velvet coat on, she is very pretty. Structure cannot be faulted, a wide chest, and straight legs with good bone. She has a beautiful head. Sometimes it is hard to get pictures of donkeys with dark noses, but this little jennet just shines.
